“My name is Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I was an abolitionist, human rights activist and one of the first leaders of the woman’s rights movement in America. In 1848, I helped organize the First Women’s Rights Convention, known as the Seneca Falls Convention. I also fought for women’s parental and custody rights, property rights, employment and income rights, and birth control.”
