Since June 2013, the Glasgow Women’s Library Mixing The Colours project has been delivering workshops with women in Glasgow and across Scotland to gather opinion and inspire discussion about intra-Christian sectarianism.
The result of these workshops has been the production of a collection of resources including a book, a film and a series of podcasts which showcase the experiences and opinions of the women with whom we have worked so far.
We are excited to announce two workshops for women in conjunction with Glasgow Libraries, offering sessions in Shettleston and Ibrox Libraries.
These workshops will feature readings of extracts from the Mixing The Colours: Women Speaking About Sectarianism anthology which provide a unique showcase of women’s insights, and participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and visions for the future of Scotland. Participants will also receive a copy of the Mixing The Colours book.
The current schedule for workshop sessions is as follows:
Shettleston Library, 154 Wellshot Road, Glasgow G32 7AX
Tuesday 26th May 2015 2pm-3:30pm
Ibrox Library, 1 Midlock Street, Glasgow G51 1SL
Wednesday 1st July 2015 2pm-3:30pm
These workshops are FREE to attend, however as space is limited, booking is required – please contact Rebecca Jones at rebecca.jones@womenslibrary.org.uk or by calling 0141 550 2267.
