GWL had an exciting visit from two sister Archivists this week! Antoinette Seymour, who had a cataloguing placement at GWL back in 2009, who is the Archivist of the College of the Bahamas came to visit. As if that wasn’t kind enough, she brought along Bette, from Slovakia, who is on a placement at Glasgow University Archive Services. Antoinette and Bette were delighted to visit GWL in her new home in Bridgeton. Antoinette remarked that no matter where GWL lays her hat, you always get the same warm feeling when you come in the door.
Both women were given a tour of the new layout and a detailed description of where the new archive space will go. After the tour, all the Archivists settled down to tea and chat about acquisitions procedures, cataloguing software and the pressing preservation issue of rusty paperclips!
Thank you for coming to visit, Anotinette and Bette. We hope to see you back in GWL very soon.
