Modern Slavery and its Impact on Women

It is estimated there are 100 million modern slaves in India today. 3 million are enslaved in prostitution. Most are Dalit women. This is the second event to be held at GWL to discuss discrimination against Dalit women. The aim of this event is to discuss, plan and organise how women in Glasgow can support Dalit women in India.

Wednesday 15 June, 5.30pm to 7.30pm

This event is open to anyone interested in working towards equality for Dalit women, particularly those who attended the information evening held earlier this year.

This workshop will be facilitated by Ruth Walker, a campaigner raising awareness of Dalit women’s experiences, and Glasgow Women’s Library.

This is a free event. For more information or to register please call 0141 248 9969 or book online using the quick booking form below. Book early to avoid disappointment!
