Steps to Social Science and Care

Are you looking for a way back into education but don’t know where to start?

Do you want to study interesting subjects in a friendly, women-only environment?

Why not come and join Glasgow Women’s Library and Stow College from January 2011 on the Steps to Social Science and Care course.

  • No fees if you’re on benefits or a low income—help may also be available with childcare and travel expenses
  • Study an interesting and unique course in a friendly, supportive environment.
  • Gain accredited SQA units in Psychology and Research Skills
  • Steps to Social Science & Care is delivered by Stow College in Glasgow Women’s Library premises at 15 Berkeley St.

    The courses offer the chance to move on to further study in Women’s Studies, Social Sciences or Social Care. It could be a route into employment—or just the chance to try something different and meet some new people.

    The classes run twice a week and will include an introduction into psychology and a research project. Don’t worry if it’s a while since you’ve studied—everyone is in the same boat, and there’s lots of help with essay writing, study skills and using the computer.
