A film screening for the Glasgay Festival
Thursday 21 October 5.30pm to 7.30pm
After 42 years, feisty and delightful lesbian couple Edie and Thea are finally getting married. From the early ’60s to the present day, the tireless community activists persevere through many battles, both personal and political. Susan Muska and Greta Olafsdottir return with a love story of two remarkable women whose commitment to each other is an inspiration to us all.
This screening will be followed by an introduction by GWL Archivist Hannah Little to some of the rare and fascinating gems from the national lesbian archive including the magazines, books and other materials that Edie and Thea and other lesbians of the 1960s in America and Britain created and consumed and discover some of the other enduring partnerships that are represented and recorded within this unique lesbian history resource in Scotland.
