Hi. After a brief illness, I’m back on my feet, resuming cataloguing of the Education, Networking, Action, Culture and Training (ENACT) Collection. ENACT for Women was a volunteer-led, grass roots women’s organization based in Edinburgh which was constituted in 1999 to “strengthen links between women and women’s organisations experiencing exclusion and isolation”. Originally constituted as ENACT 2000, it brought women’s groups from throughout Edinburgh together to run a week-long series of events for International Women’s Day. The ENACT Collection comprises papers, photos and CDs on ENACT background/history, annual reports, minutes, correspondence, and events, including the International Women’s Day Festival and the Hidden Heroines Award Night (“The Elsies”). More later.
