Just wanted to share the good news that on Tuesday night in the Number 78 pub in Finneston, three members of the GWL book group gathered and formed a team named “The Dusty Answers” for the Oxfam Literary pub quiz. They pitted their wits against some far bigger teams and were triumphant!! And, may I add, not by the scraping of their teeth….but by a mile.
Hopefully the quiz will be made a regular item and allow people to challenge The Dusty Answers – although I have every faith that they would champion again.
So congratulations Anita, Heather and Kate and I hope you enjoy spending your prize money (£25 in book tokens) in the Oxfam book shop.
