New writing and prints inspired by the collection at Glasgow Women’s Library
Following blockbuster exhibitions at Glasgow’s CCA and Edinburgh’s Royal Scottish Academy and the launch of 21 podcasts from the participating women writers we are thrilled to announce that, with your help, we’ll be launching the 21 Revolutions publication for International Women’s Day 2014.
The book, being co-published with award-winning publishers Freight, is a stunning collection of artists’ and writers’ creative responses to Glasgow Women’s Library’s unique collection of artefacts from the women’s movement and social history spanning over a century. It contains full colour reproductions of the artworks and artefacts that inspired them throughout, newly commissioned essays and is packed with inspiring new writing and art.
Visit the 21 Revolutions page to find out more about the wider project and learn more about the writers and artists involved.
How you can make it happen?
Creative Scotland has generously funded 70% of the costs of the publication but we still have money to raise. We have a wonderful range of rewards connected to the publication, the writers, artists and the treasure trove on our exciting Kickstarter site. Please take a minute to visit and pledge your support.
