From March 2013-March 2014, GWL and Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art invited women across the world to write illuminated letters of love and honour to an inspirational woman. Over 200 letters were received and exhibited at the Gallery of Modern Art in 2014 and now a selection of these beautiful and moving letters, including some from women in the Highlands, can be seen in this exhibition.

Following the successful launch of their Women’s Heritage Walk in March 2013, Aberdeen Women’s Alliance will now be running outreach workshops where anyone can share their own stories of Aberdeen women and take part in fun craft and heritage activities.
Within Garnethill’s confined boundaries we spotlight the women who pioneered European art movements, designed the banners for suffragette processions, created the first women’s library in Scotland and made Garnethill the most exciting cultural and multicultural hotspot in Glasgow.
Some essential works that need to take place mean we will have to close to the public for a period of 3 weeks. This closure will take place from Monday 16th March to Tuesday 7th April 2015.
