The Writing for Performance: Muslim Women’s Stories sessions have moved online! For more information, please email syma.ahmed@womenslibrary.org.uk.
These workshops place Muslim women at the heart of their own creative experience and provide the space, time and support needed to tell your stories in your own terms. These sessions are led by experienced playwright and producer, Sara Sharaawi, who will share skills to help you build tension and write dialogue as well as give you the unique chance to work with professional actors and artistic director Jemima Levick!
These workshops, in partnership with Stellar Quines Theatre Company, will support you to explain your work to creatives, see the development process at work, receive constructive feedback on your scenes and learn about the role of an actor and a director. You’ll also see your work performed in front of a live audience by professional actors and experience the impact your work has on an audience, as well as yourself!
Join us at the showcase event on Saturday 18th April where the plays from the workshops will be performed!
These writing sessions have moved online in order to slow the spread of Covid-19. For further information, please email syma.ahmed@womenslibrary.org.uk.
