Our contribution to The Only Way is Ethics festival running from Sunday 29th November to Sunday 6th December, this hands-on workshop will explore some of the campaigns led by or involving women since the 1900’s by looking at objects and items from GWL’s museum and archive collection such as Suffragette jewellery, badges, magazines, stickers, T-shirts, banners and placards.
This workshop on Wednesday 2nd December from 2pm to 4pm is a great opportunity to handle some of the objects and materials from our accredited museum and discover some of the stories behind them. And if are or have been involved in campaigns yourself, whether for women’s rights or other causes, why not bring an object with you?
The Only Way is Ethics is an 8-day ethical festival, which will take place across Glasgow from 29 November to 6 December 2015. It will culminate in a 2-day Vegfest event at the SECC.
The main focus will be on social responsibility, social inclusion and the rights of animals but more widely, the aim is to open a city-wide conversation on ethical thinking.
This event is free to attend but ticketed and places are limited to 12. You can book below (you will be taken through the shopping cart but no charge will be made) or you can call us on 0141 550 2267.
