Margaret Harrison was one of Scotland’s most passionate campaigners against nuclear weapons and helped to found the Faslane peace camp. Before her death at 96 in 2015, Margaret lived most of her life in Dumbarton and some of her campaign badges form part of GWL’s archive collection.
The Leven Litts Writers (Alexandria) to which Margaret belonged for many years have dedicated a Glasgow Women’s Library shelf to Margaret and to celebrate it’s unveiling, will be reading some of her poems and prose as well as some of their own writing on aspects of her life. All welcome. For more information contact alexwriters1@gmail.com or call Glasgow Women’s Library.
