Women still only make up 16% of all directors, producers, writers, cinematographers and editors working in film internationally.
Against the backdrop of this striking under representation, this event will consider the role of women in a world of film.
A panel of leading experts will discuss areas including funding, training, exhibition, distribution, production, script development and storytelling. The symposium will be followed by a screening of As I Open My Eyes the first feature film from the talented Tunisian director Leyla Bouzid.
You can book to attend either the symposium or screening, or for both parts.
The symposium (2pm to 5.30pm) and the film screening (5.30pm to 8pm) are open to all (16+) and are free to attend. Please book below (you will be taken through the shopping cart but no charge will be made) or you can call us on 0141 550 2267. If you have booked a place and are no longer able to attend please let us know so that we can make your place available to someone else.
