Wikipedia is one of the five most used websites in the world and we want to make sure that Scottish women are visible there. Come along to the Olympia at 10am or 1pm and learn how to use Wikipedia, improve its articles and add information and photos. If you feel confident using Wikipedia already then just drop in any time between 10am and 4pm and spend some time editing with us. If you are not confident on the computer, don’t worry, you can pair up with someone or just help with finding out information on the women to update them.
Saturday 16th November, 10am to 4pm
Bridgeton Library, The Olympia Building
This event is a partnership with GWL Women Make History group and Wikimedia UK. The session will be facilitated by Graeme Arnott of Wikimedia UK, Anabel Marsh, from our Women Make History group and Laura Dolan, Lifelong Learning Assistant at the Library.
No booking is necessary. Just come along to one of the information sessions at 10am or 1pm or drop in any time between 10am and 4pm. Please bring some information with you on a woman who you would like to update on Wikipedia – and there will be some books and information available for you to find out about some interesting women on the day.
