Trailblazers: The Journey of the Boundary Riders

Tuesday, 8th March, 2016, 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Photo of Rachel Dawick

Photo of Rachel DawickFor three years Rachel Dawick researched the stories of trailblazing women who came out from the UK leaving all they knew behind to start a new life on the other side of the world. These stories turned into songs, a book and a final show.

In 2014 ‘The Boundary Riders’ the album and book were launched to much critical acclaim. The work follows six ordinary women who lead extraordinary lives – the washer-woman, fraudster, magician, goldminer, prostitute and missionary.

Hear the story of The Boundary Riders on Tuesday 8th March from 6pm to 7.30pm

On International Women’s Day Rachel will be taking us on the journey including stories, images and songs from her discoveries. Join us for a spellbinding event.

The book and album will be available to purchase at this launch for £20 (set).
