For three years Rachel Dawick researched the stories of trailblazing women who came out from the UK leaving all they knew behind to start a new life on the other side of the world. These stories turned into songs, a book and a final show.
In 2014 ‘The Boundary Riders’ the album and book were launched to much critical acclaim. The work follows six ordinary women who lead extraordinary lives – the washer-woman, fraudster, magician, goldminer, prostitute and missionary.
On International Women’s Day Rachel will be taking us on the journey including stories, images and songs from her discoveries. Join us for a spellbinding event.
The book and album will be available to purchase at this launch for £20 (set).
