Over the past few months we’ve been investigating invaluable advice to women given over the last couple of centuries. And now the women involved in Tips for Girls want to share all that with the world in this group curated exhibition and film.
We’ve learned how to curtsy, why we should bathe in early morning dew, how to singe the hair off a pig’s trotter, how to write a letter sacking an unruly housemaid, whether it’s proper for a single girl to have dinner in a bachelor’s apartment (never, dear girls, never) and much more besides. This group curated exhibition and film will share their discoveries with you.
In partnership with National Library of Scotland – Moving Image Archive.
This exhibition is free to attend and there is no need to book. For opening times see the ‘Where to Find Us’ section of the website.
