Thirty years ago Section 28 was introduced by the Tory Government. The act called on local authorities to prohibit the “promotion” of homosexuality across the public sector including in schools and libraries. Our archive contains an array of unique and important material documenting the introduction of the clause, as well as the enormous backlash and campaigns against it.
