Over a lunchtime GWL will share some insights on the spaces, places, buildings and hotspots that bring women’s often hidden histories vividly alive.
Hear about the Mapping Memorials to Women in Scotland project where milestones and monuments to hundreds of Scottish Women are being uncovered by women’s history detectives nationwide, meet some of GWL’s legendary Women’s Heritage Tour Guides, and find out how architecture doyens Jude Barbour, Suzanne Ewing, and Nicola McLachlan are putting women firmly into the picture of our civic landscapes. Drop in and be inspired.
For Doors Open Days we are also holding lots of tours of the library through the week and have our very popular East End Women’s Heritage Walk on Saturday 16th September. To find out what else is on, please see here.
