What: Screening of Women, Witches and Witch-Trials lecture

Why should you join us: We will be greeted by Dawn Vallance, Mitchell Library’s Principal Librarian, who will give us an introduction to their current exhibition exploring traditions of folklore and magic. Then we can settle down for the screening of the British Library lecture featuring a panel of expert historians, including Margo Burns and Ulinka Rublack, chaired by Anita Anand. The discussion will focus of the history of witchcraft and gender roles within it.
Meeting at 1:20pm at the Information desk downstairs by the Café in Mitchell Library.
As always, we will sit down for a cup of tea or coffee (on us!) to chat about what we thought about the lecture. Travel expenses can also be covered.
