What: Visit to two contemporary art exhibitions with tour by the artist Suzannah Stark

Why should you join us:
We are going to see Lilt, Twang and Tremor, an exhibition of three Scottish female artist at the Centre for Contemporary Art, who are all making work about the voice. Sarah Rose, Susannah Stark, Hanna Tuulikki have put together this exhibition investigating the human voice through animation, audio work, drawing and sculptural installation.
Then we will walk to Glasgow School of Art (a 5 minute walk up the hill) to see Zanele Muhoni’s photography show Somnyama Ngonyama: Hail the Dark Lioness, in which she confronts the politics of race and representation.
As always we will have a cup of tea or coffee after each exhibition to relax and have a chat about what we’ve seen. Feel free to come along for one or both of the exhibitions.
