Seeing Things is a group that meet up to see art, performances and cultural events put on by women across Glasgow and beyond. We think it’s more fun to go to see things together, and we usually have a cup of tea or coffee afterwards. Our trips are always free. It would be great if you could come along!
What: Artist’s Talk by Delaine Le Bas. Untouchable – Gypsy Witch – The Radically Diverse
When: Thursday November 1st, 18.00 – 19.30
Where: Glasgow Women’s Library, 23 Landressy St, Glasgow G40 1BP
Who With: Mattie & Freya
Why you should join us: It’ll be a chance to hear artist, Delaine Le Bas, discuss her work, before her solo exhibition, Untouchable, opens at Transmission Gallery from 3rd November to 8th December.
A British Multi Media Artist from a Romany background, Delaine’s work in installation, photography, film and performance interrogates what it means to be an outsider amongst the outsiders, to be a minority within a minority.
The exhibition associated with this talk, features new art by Delaine Le Bas alongside older works, expressing how being radically diverse feels, and what this means to her.
