We meet at Lighthouse Books, Edinburgh, to discuss poetry, fiction, and narrative non-fiction by writers of colour. We have recently been reading work by Meera Lee Patel and Nayyirah Waheed.
Attendance is free, and the reading group is a great opportunity to meet new people, exchange and share conversations and ideas, and share passion for writing by women of colour.
This November we chatted about poems by Imtiaz Dharker (b.1954), an award-winning writer who grew up not so far from us at the women’s library in Glasgow! Have a listen to Imtiaz read one of her poems which we discussed, Chaudhri Sher Mobarik Looks at The Loch via Bloodaxe Books’ website.
