Welcome to Readers of Colour!
Based in Edinburgh, we usually meet at Lighthouse Bookshop on the last Wednesday of every month to discuss poetry, fiction, graphic novels, essays and narrative non-fiction by women writers of colour, with work by Scotland’s own Makar Jackie Kay as well as writers from around the world such as Audre Lorde.
For our June session, we’ll be running a one-off longer edition of Readers of Colour from 6pm to 8pm at Riddles Court, just off the Royal Mile. We will return to our usual time and location at Lighthouse in July.
Attendance is free, and the reading group is a great opportunity to meet new people, exchange and share conversations and ideas, and share passion for writing by women of colour.
