Our sell out women’s heritage walks, led by our volunteer tour guides, show Glasgow’s neighbourhoods in a new light, making visible the often hidden and overlooked contributions women have made to the city.
Pick up a Stamp as you Stomp loyalty card when you attend a walk, do all 6 of our walks and get a very special Women Make History reward!
This one-hour guided walk offers a shorter version of our ever-popular East End Heritage Walk highlighting some of the achievements and struggles of the industrious and resourceful women of Bridgeton and Calton, and the radical nature of the area which gave birth to them. You’ll learn about the women of the Templeton factory, the suffragettes, the brazen women of Glasgow Green, and many, many more!
This walk is a shorter version of the full East End Heritage Walk and is aimed at those who are short on time or who prefer a shorter walk. The route is flat and does not involve any steps. There are dropped curbs along the way but please note that these can sometimes be blocked by vehicles. Please let us know if you have any access requirements you want us to be aware of when you book.

The walking tour starts and ends at GWL where there are toilets, wheelchair accessible toilets, and seating.
