March – a film from Glasgow Women’s Library and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Wednesday, 7th March, 2018, 1:00pm to 3:00pm

'Justice' leading the March of Women to Glasgow Green

Conference Room, Dundee Central Library, The Wellgate, Dundee, DD1 1DB.

Hundreds of women from Glasgow and beyond come together to celebrate the achievements of Scottish women past and present at the March of Women event, organised by the Glasgow Women’s Library and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

First performed in 2015, March of Women celebrated the lives and achievements of Scottish women past and present. In this documentary film, hear from the women involved as they talk about the heroines they chose to represent. After the film you’ll get the chance to join the discussion and create your own suffragette-style rosette with a message for women today.

“After watching the film, we had a much greater awareness of great women in history and …(how)… they are vastly underrepresented in our society.”.
