PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
Our In Her Shoes project is exploring the way that gender intersects with hate crime and behaviour targeting women’s sexuality, disability, race or ethnicity, religion or belief and gender identity.
As part of this project, we’re inviting women with disabilities, sensory impairments, learning disabilities and mental health conditions to join us at this relaxed and informal workshop, where we’ll talk about how it feels to speak out against harassment, intimidation and assault – and read the stories of women with disabilities who have done exactly that!
We want to know what you think about the experience of harassment, verbal abuse and assault in public, how you feel about intervening and about those who intervene, and what you would like to see happen to challenge hate speech and hate crime.
This FREE workshop is open to all women over 18, but as space is limited booking is required. For more information about this workshop or the In Her Shoes project, please contact Rebecca Jones rebecca.jones@womenslibrary.org.uk
