Meet some of the wonderful women behind the titles in our collection in our series of In Conversation With events.
Sally Heathcote: Suffragette is a gripping and beautifully realised graphic novel. A tale of loyalty, love and courage, it follows the fortunes of a maid-of-all-work swept up in the feminist militancy of the era.
Thursday 19th February, 5.30pm to 7pm (£3/free)
We’re delighted to welcome the book’s highly acclaimed illustrator, Kate Charlesworth, to talk about her work.
A freelance cartoonist and illustrator since 1976, Kate has been widely published, and is currently working on A Girl’s Guide to Sensible Footwear, a graphic memoir telling the story of L(GBT) history in the UK from 1950 to the present.
Kate will be in conversation with Glasgow-based cartoonist and illustrator Heather Middleton. A regular contributor to Team Girl Comic anthology and one of our 21 Revolutions writers.
