This empowering session is for women who have experienced verbal and physical assault, intimidation or
harassment motivated by prejudice based on sexuality, race, gender and religion.
In our previous session women told us, “We need a clear definition of ‘hate crime’ to help us name what we have experienced and to help perpetrators know what NOT to do.” We spoke about women’s negative experiences of reporting incidents and the normalisation and frequency of harassment.
This session is open to all women 18+, in a safe space and group, to pull together experiences, explore the problem of reporting and suggest ways to make these better.
We will a develop positive and empowering strategy to ensure all members of our society take responsibility for preventing and addressing hate crime behaviours.
