As part of 16 Days of Action Opposing Violence Against Women, we present Her Spirit Soared: Stories of survival and hope from women moving on from abuse.
This drama project was facilitated with women’s groups from Glasgow Southside, who were new to performance.
Participants adapted their own journeys of oppression to triumph, desperation to liberation into an evocative drama
first performed to a packed Kelvingrove Museum earlier this year. Darkness, abuse and turmoil is transformed, through the women’s own strength, into a place of light and peace.
In partnership with Domestic Abuse Integrated Support Project. Funded by South East Integration Network and supported by Tramway.
