Enter a reimagining of our early library space, an immersive exhibition exploring DIY grassroots feminist organising.
GWL Origins: Pre-internet Community Building, Saturday 27th May to Saturday 22nd July, Free
GWL Origins: Pre-Internet Community Building explores our organisations information sharing and community building in the pre-internet era. Newspaper cuttings, posters, flyers, and the filing and classification systems reveal how information was gathered, shared and travelled between the communities of women and visited GWL, locally, nationally and internationally.
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.
Find more information on Accessibility at GWL or contact us and we will be very happy to offer assistance.
There will be a talk relating to this exhibition on Saturday 27th May. Details here.
