As we approach the 40th anniversary of Embrace the Base, the iconic action that brought Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp to international notoriety, we are excited to host social archivers Greenham Women Everywhere and activists from Faslane Peace Camp in a day of banner making, information sharing, memory recording and song!
Craftivism and Memory Share Session, Saturday 26th November, 1pm to 3pm, GWL, Free
The session will begin with a chat about the impact of Greenham and Embrace the Base told through images, animations and music, then members of Faslane will share their current campaigns and invite us to create banners with messages to take to the Peace Camp. Enjoy chats, craftivsim and cake as we create a space for the change we want to see in the world!
The event is free and open to all. To attend, please book below and we will share an email invitation with you. If you would like to make a donation to Glasgow Women’s Library, you can do so here.
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.
Find more information on Accessibility at GWL or contact us and we will be very happy to offer assistance.
