Feminism 101- Books that Changed Our Lives, Harpies Fechters and Quines Festival, Edinburgh

pat booksThis festival of talks, exhibitions and workshops is organised through a partnership between Glasgow Women’s Library, Edinburgh City libraries and the Bonnie Fechters women’s group. This year the theme is women and words – from poetry and performance, blogging and key works by iconic feminist writers to blogs, diaries, and journals. You can join in and create your own words or come along and hear from and read about other women of the past and present.

The Boardroom, Edinburgh Central Library

With Glasgow Women’s Library and the Edinburgh University Gender Reading Group. Readings from and chat about iconic feminist texts, fiction and non-fiction, that have influenced women of all ages. This is a very friendly and informal event – bring a text to read yourself or just come along to listen. There will also be a small exhibition of relevant books from GWL’s collection.
