The Equality in Progress team are looking for CHANGEMAKERS to tackle the issue of accessibility in the Museum sector.
Our Changemakers are members of the public, those that museums are curated and run for. As their intended audience, you are expertly placed to comment on how well Scottish museums are doing – and we want to hear your thoughts on how you experience (or don’t) these places. All will feed into our final report, drawing on lots of different information gathering sessions and methods, with the hope of creating a sector that works for you.
Your input can make a difference. Your expertise on your own experience can help benefit others. We want to hear from you.
If you’d like to dig your teeth into these questions please join us at the below open sessions, where we will informally discuss and question museum provision in Scotland (and the wider world).
As a CHANGEMAKER you will feed into the creation of a blueprint for transformation in Scottish museums for social justice!
All are welcome – We particularly want to hear from women (self-identifying inclusive) and non binary folk, of colour, lesbian, bisexual, disabled, working class and all of those beautiful intersections!
WEDNESDAY 7th MARCH 1-2:30PM
THURSDAY 15TH MARCH 5:30-7PM
SATURDAY 7TH APRIL 1-2:30PM
The sessions will be informal, discussion based at GWL. You will be invited into a warm, welcoming atmosphere and nibbles will be provided.
