Lights! Camera! Tea! Take your seats for our regular No-Acting-Required Drama Queens sessions. Read plays from the last 100 years: powerful suffragette drama, 1940s comedy sketches, 1970s Women’s Liberation plays and up-to-the minute drama from some of Scotland’s top women playwrights.
And you don’t even need to read out loud; just come along and listen. Whether you come to one session or to all, we guarantee tea, cake, dramatic fun and no stage fright.
“Really good fun to read such a wide variety of plays. A relaxed and friendly group.” Drama Queens participant

As of Wednesday 18th March, Glasgow Women’s Library is closed until further notice. We believe that closing our doors is the best way to slow the spread of Covid-19. We are no longer taking bookings for events in our Spring programme, in the understanding that they may not go ahead. If you can check in at the end of April for updates on our website and social media, or by email, please do so. You can find more information on our response to Covid-19 here.
This workshop is for women only* and there are two ticket options for this event: a £2 ticket and a Free ticket. If a ticket price of £2 is in any way a barrier to you attending this event please choose a Free ticket. We also offer a Free ticket if you are a Friend of GWL. Please book online below or you can call us on 0141 550 2267. If you have booked a place and are no longer able to attend please let us know so that we can make your place available to someone else.

We can provide larger print versions if required – please let us know in advance.
