Once again, we’re treading the boards without leaving our seats for our fabulously fun Drama Queens sessions where we give ourselves dramatic licence to enjoy some theatrical gems spanning over a hundred years of women’s writing.
You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! You’ll be amazed! You’ll be amused!
No acting skills required at our informal play readings. You don’t even need to read out loud. But, if you want to, you can spend a couple of hours being a militant suffragette chained to the railings of the Houses of Parliament, a 1940s bride-to-be, a Russian peasant and ‘Sneezing Woman on Train’.
Drama Queens sessions take place throughout Autumn on Thursdays 15th September from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, on 6th October from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, then 10th November from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and 8th December from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Come to all sessions or some. Please visit the event page for the date(s) you’d like to attend to book your tickets. See a list of all the events here.
Please Note: Drama Queens will not be taking place on Thursday 10th November as the Women’s Library is closed for staff training.
