We launch the Donor Stories Display with a talk and Q&A session with GWL’s archivists, museum curator and librarian on recent and past donations and the importance of growing truly representational collections.
Our amazing donors have supported and grown our museum, archive, and book collections for the last 30 years. These donations make us a space that centres and represents a diverse range of women’s lives.
This season we showcase a selection of donations made in our 30th year including artworks, LGBTQI+, anti-racist, and environmental donations, and political, STEM, and textile book collections. And our biggest donation to date from a mysterious anonymous donor!
Donor Stories Display will be on at the Glasgow Women’s Library from Saturday 4th March until Saturday 29th April.
The event is free and open to all. To attend, please book below and we will share an email invitation with you. If you would like to make a donation to Glasgow Women’s Library, you can do so here.
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.
Find more information on Accessibility at GWL or contact us and we will be very happy to offer assistance.
