Can feminist approaches support the way we care and stand up for the planet and its inhabitants? Through workshops, panel discussions and creative responses, we will explore ways in which feminism is re-shaping environmentalism, in its approaches, reach and hopes. Gather ideas and tools that you could use to make a positive difference.
Does climate chaos call for radical action – and, if so, on whose behalf? How does the environmental movement reflect gender, class and racial dynamics? Join campaigners, creatives and curious souls to explore some of the key questions at the heart of ecofeminism and find inspiration and tools for different routes into the growing global climate movement.
Facilitated by writer and activist Mairi McFadyen, the afternoon promises to pack a lot in, including an opening provocation by journalist, artist and activist Layla-Roxane Hill and participatory workshops with Glasgow Women’s Library’s Museum Curator Jenny Noble, Global Justice Now Scotland, and poet Nalini Paul.
