This week is another arts and crafts session with Loa Pour Miza. You can create a self portrait using collage and other crafts, or add to our “Dennistoun Dynamo” collection that celebrates amazing women from Dennistoun. You can also bring along photographs and share your stories of life in Dennistoun and with help from our tutor, create images and words for inclusion in our project booklet about Dennistoun women’s heritage.
Who are the women in Dennistoun’s past? Maybe you know a Dennistoun woman whose story deserves to be remembered? In this exciting new project, we’ll discover these hidden histories and then help to develop a new women’s heritage trail and booklet. You can meet new people, take part in creative arts and crafts sessions inspired by Dennistoun stories and learn new skills in how to discover local history.
Booking
The event is free and for women only* (16+). To attend, please book below and we will share an email invitation with you. If you would like to make a donation to Glasgow Women’s Library, there is an option do so when you ‘check-out’ with your ticket. *All women-only events are inclusive of Trans and Intersex women, as well as non-binary and gender fluid people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experience of women.
