Funny women of colour take to the stage for what promises to be an afternoon of giggles and laughter. Lubna Kerr and her special guests, invite you to a hilarious and unique stand-up comedy session with afternoon tea. They will make you laugh and cry, sometimes in despair!
Lubna Kerr is a Scottish Pakistani actor, comedian and writer. She was one of the star’s of Scottish iconic show Still Game at the Glagow Hydro 2014, work out which one she was! More recently you would have seen her on TV in the hit show “Scot Squad” , “Armchair detectives” on BBC 1 and “two doors down” Or perhaps on the big screen in the feature film “Moon Dogs” and next year “Christmas in the Highlands”.

Zara Janjua is a ‘Scottistani’ comedian – half Scottish and half Pakistani. She performed her first stand up set on TV and has since written sketches and sitcoms for TV audiences. She has performed on stage for almost three years, taking her set around the UK and to every Edinburgh Fringe since 2016.
Kavita Bhardwaj has been performing around Scotland since 2013 on the amateur comedy circuit. In 2015 she was a finalist in the Scottish Comedian of the Year awards. With her warm personality and breezy charm Kavita’s work has been well received by audiences and critics alike.
Arri Smith is a 3rd year sociology student at the University of Aberdeen. She’s originally from LA but moved to Aberdeen to get away from Donald Trump only to find out that he opened a golf course there. In her free time, she enjoys watching films and mindlessly scrolling through Twitter – but of course her favourite pass time is stand-up comedy at gigs! After Uni, Arri hopes to move to New York enter the field of human resources.

This workshop is for women only* and costs £12 full price. We offer subsidised places at £8 for students, people on a low income, unemployed or those in receipt of benefit and Friends of GWL. . Accessibility
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available. For paid events free companion tickets are available.
