This interactive exhibition, created by artists Jo Hodges and Denise Zygadlo, explores the menopause through the words and creativity of women in the process of moving through and beyond this significant, yet still taboo, transitional stage.
“Such an exquisite exhibition – such admirable honesty. The secret is no longer a secret. Love the creativity – surprises – words that resonate. Just beautiful.”
Changing Room aims to recognize and acknowledge the changes and challenges of the menopause, to explore stereotypes of women as we age, and to create space for a positive, playful and creative celebration of this new life phase.
“What a moving exhibition. So tender, raw, challenging and joyful”
A workshop facilitated by Lee Seekings Norman offers an opportunity to share and explore menopause experiences and take part in creative activities linked to the exhibition will take place on Saturday 1st October, 12.30pm to 3.30pm. To book, or for more information please see here.
“Made me laugh, made me cry. Fantastic!!”
This exhibition is free to attend and there is no need to book. For opening times see the ‘Where to Find Us’ section of the website.
