Banner Tales

Did you march for peace in the 80’s? Have you been involved with protests over the years, waving banners for the cause with other women by your side? Maybe your grandmother shared stories of the peace crusades. Banner Tales documents, discusses and appreciates the role played by women in shaping our city.

Banner Tales, Saturday 18th June, 12pm to 3pm

This session will give you a chance to see and discuss two of Glasgow Museums’ peace banners from this era.  Hear about their background and share your stories. Bring along photos, banners, and your memories or just come along to hear from others. Please note that the event will be recorded.

Lunch will be provided by the wonderful McCune Smith. Please do book below so we can keep track of numbers. Enter the number of places you would like to book and and then you will be taken to the shopping cart, but don’t worry – no charge will be made as this is a free event.
