Wild Scottish beaches, belly buttons, sherbert sweeties; no subject is off limits for the performers at our All Women Poetry Slams. Whether you’re a newbie or a poetry slam afficionado – this is a chance for women of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience to perform and compete, or simply come along and enjoy the show!
Hosted by award-winning writer and spoken word poet Carly Brown, this slam promises to be an incredible night of spoken word so book early to avoid disappointment. If you’d like to compete in the slam, call us on 0141 550 2267 for more information or e-mail your name and contact details to rebecca.jones@womenslibrary.org.uk. Performers’ names will be randomly selected and the deadline for registering to perform in the slam is midnight, Monday 5th June, so get in touch soon!
If you’d love to compete in the slam but would like to build your confidence and brush up your skills, come to one of Carly’s poetry performance workshops at GWL or in Edinburgh. You can find out more and book places here.
