Delve into the mysterious and magical world of fairy tales with award-winning Scottish writer Kirsty Logan. A lover of folktales since childhood, Kirsty’s work is very much inspired by myths and fairy tales – and as she says ‘the darker and more beautiful, the better.’
Kirsty will be sharing some of her favourite tales with us, talking about the influence of writers such as Angela Carter on her own work, and reading from her latest book, A Portable Shelter, a collection of linked stories about loss, identity and the purpose of stories, inspired by Scottish folktales.
‘Logan brings to mind Angela Carter, or Atwood or Winterson at their best…an exciting emerging voice’ – The Independent
