Fairy tales are one of our first introductions to the world around us, but too often these tales portray women in a negative way. Telling Tales is a chance to get together with other women to talk about what our stories mean to us and to discuss what we would like to tell children about the world around them.

World Book Night
World Book Night, is an opportunity for our community to share some of our favourite books. Come along and receive free books, whilst chatting with women from across Scotland, including some up and coming and established authors. If you are a world book night giver, and your books are written by women, bring along your titles to share with other women.

Second session of Storytelling, Creative Writing and Visual Art workshop where you can share in the wisdom of women’s ancient folktales, exploring themes of freedom and control, hopes, dreams and new beginnings. Lunch provided.
Life Dramas
In many cultures women have found ways to express themselves through drama. This Glasgow Women’s Library Theatre Group is an opportunity, through a method called Theatre of the Oppressed, for women to come together to discuss issues that affect their lives and share some of the skills we can use to overcome these. Beginners to drama very welcome.
Our Space: Nature’s Medicine
This project takes place in the natural environment at Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, Lochwinnoch, exploring and connecting with Scotland’s natural heritage. Through theme based conversations across generations of migrant families, we make links between nature, homelands and heritage.
