We have been running our hugely popular GWL Women’s Heritage Walks for 10 years and in that time we’ve developed six different walks around the city and a Heritage Bike Ride for those who prefer to travel on two wheels.
Walks are open to all and give a unique and inspiring insight into the hitherto unsung women who made Glasgow; pipe-smoking forewomen, revolting schoolmistresses, suffragettes, the brazen women of Glasgow Green, Battling Betty, and many, many more!
We get lots of great feedback and suggestions from our walks and the idea of a Women’s Heritage Walker celebration for those who do all six walks has often come up. With this in mind, and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Women’s Heritage Walks, we’re launching ‘Stamp As You Stomp’ for those who join us in uncovering the hidden histories of women in Glasgow in all six of our Heritage Walks. If you stomp all six walks you’ll get six stamps and six stamps equals a special GWL treat!
To begin stamping as you stomp, pick up your card from your tour guide on your next walk and be sure to get it stamped! Once you’ve filled your card, you can hand it to the tour guide on your final walk or pop in to GWL to claim your treat.
If you’ve already done some of the walks before, then just let the tour guide know on your next walk and we’ll be happy to stamp your card for all the walks you’ve completed so far.

Happy stomping!
