Volunteer opportunity with the National Lifelong Learning Project

Poetry-for-Fearties

*Please note that this role has now been filled.*

We are looking for a volunteer to assist our colleague Lorna Stevenson, the project worker, in supporting a women’s history group in Clydebank to develop a Memory Box about women’s history in West Dunbartonshire.

This will entail attending the weekly sessions, helping out during these group meetings, supporting women to participate and contribute, and assisting with the organisation of events and visits to community groups.  You can find out more about the project here which is funded by the Sharing Heritage Lottery funding and will run until August 2015.

We offer all our volunteers an induction, ongoing support, and access to a raft of training and learning opportunities. We will also reimburse any travel expenses to and from Dalmuir Community Centre where the group meets.

If you can commit 3 hours a week every Wednesdays from 12pm to 3pm, enjoy working with people, and are interested in women’s history and heritage, then please get in touch.  To find out more about volunteering with us and how to apply please click here. Or if you would like to find our more about the project and the volunteer role contact Morag Smith, the National Lifelong Learning project worker, by calling us on 0141 550 2267 or by emailing info@womenslibrary.org.uk
