Looking Back on 2014

As an exciting and momentous year draws to an end we are reflecting over all that we have achieved in our first year in our new home in Bridgeton. We have had a range of events from the launch of our award winning 21 Revolutions publication, our first involvement with the Glasgow International Festival, our Commonwealth Women’s Writers events to the Teknowomen film screenings for the BFI Sci Fi Days of Fear and Wonder programme.

Lets take a look at a gallery of images from 2014 at Glasgow Women’s Library. Please comment if there was an event that you were at that you particularly enjoyed and don’t fret if you missed out on any of these, we have lots more planned for 2015, our new programme will be launched at the end of January. Join the Library here, it’s free and you will be kept up to date with everything that is going on.

Wonderful, wonderful GWL! What would Glasgow be without you? Well done and congratulations on all your hard work.

I enjoyed the GarnetHill Women’s Heritage Walk in October. Would love to take the rest of them in 2015! I highly recommend them for anyone interested in Glasgow’s vibrant history.

Mardelle it was lovely to have you and thanks for the wonderful photos and blog. New walks programme starts in March so keep your eye out for dates throughout the Spring.

I am most interested in the discussion that happened in September regarding Feminist Ethics in the Archives, as I am working on developing a framework around this. Hope you can provide any written ideas that came out, and/or your own reflections on what issues were discussed and thoughts provided.
Regards,
Marcia
