A charmer of a book, not a page turner but a leisurely stroll full of lots of delights.  The story is told through the journal of a young  girl, Cassandra.  Her family live in a  large countryside castle and live a very poor existence.  One day they are visited by their neighbours, an aristocratic family who change the dynamics of the family for ever.
