Thanks to support from SCVO’s Creative Interns scheme we are looking for a Creative Development Assistant to work with the Library 35 hours a week. The post is available to 16 to 24 year olds who are not accessing alternative Government support (e.g. already on Get Ready for Work or the Work Programme). Any individuals wishing to apply for must first be referred by a JobCentre Plus or Skills Development Scotland Advisor who will determine eligibility.
The Creative Development Assistant will work closely with the Creative Development Manager and will focus on the following:
- Work in partnership with Gallery of Modern Art (Illuminated letters project) including work promoting the project with local and Glasgow wide groups, helping with creative workshops at GWL and Gallery of Modern art, blogging.
- Working with artists and project management team on a commonwealth games related public art project. Contacting women’s libraries across the commonwealth. Ensuring the artist involved is supported and has the information she needs to develop work (alongside the project manager)
- Supporting the work of the GWL Creative Development Manager, research tasks, preparation for meetings, administration support.
The closing date for this job is Friday 22nd March. Interviews will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 26th March and the induction for the post is Thursday 28th March.
